Bennington, NE

It has been a couple of weeks since my last blog, but when you don’t go, anywhere there isn’t that much talk about. Except when you are I.

We finally received some of our furniture; we got our bedrooms, my recliner and few other pieces. We still are waiting for the sofa, a dresser, bar stools and a couple other pieces.

Last Weds I went to the doctor for a pain in my right chest. While sitting there I felt a lump in my neck and asked the doctor if she knew what it was, she didn’t and neither did the other doctor’s. Long story short I was admitted to the hospital they did x-rays of my chest, for the pain, and a CAT scan of my neck for the lump. Good news was I wasn’t having a heart attack and they really didn’t find out the cause of the pain.

However the CAT scan showed my lymph nodes were swollen, another scan of my abdomen showed more swollen lymph nodes. We met with the ENT doctor today and according to the scans, I have a form of Lymphoma, what type they don’t know yet. I have surgery scheduled for May 30 to remove a lymph node to have it analyze to see what type of Lymphoma I have and then figure out what type of treatment to follow etc. So I would like ask for your prayers, positive thoughts and energies sent my way. I know whatever I have it most likely won’t be a walk in the park, but I know many others have traveled the same path and have made it through. I feel fine otherwise and just praying and waiting.

If anyone knows of someone looking for a nice camper and truck, we are selling ours. I don’t know what all of this will entail and how long it will take. I hate to see the camper sitting not being utilized.

I have always ended with Dreams Do Come True, this isn’t what I had in mind more like a nightmare but we will deal with it. For those of faith, I read somewhere the God never gives us more than we can handle and one of my favorite prayers is the Footsteps pray.

Until later, your prayers etc. are greatly appreciated.

You will definitely be in our thoughts and prayers. Linda is finally getting to the end of her treatments and so far, everything looks good.

This is the first time I've visited your blog-as luck would have it I'm in Omaha visiting my mother-in-law! Now what are the odds of that? We actually live in Washington State.
You have my prayers that your diagnoses would not be a serious one and that you will have a full and quick recovery.
Blessings,
Betsy
